LDI-North Recap

By Erik WrysinskiColusa High FBLA Parliamentarian

On October 19, twenty eight students from Colusa High’s Future Business Leaders of America chapter traveled to Santa Clara to attend the Leadership Development Institute. At the conference, members had the choice of nearly 30 different workshops to attend. They focused on a wide range of topics from leadership and personal development to first impressions and stress management. Three of Colusa’s members presented workshops to the attendees.

Along with the workshops, the members had an opportunity to attend Zumba and a March of Dimes Fundraiser Dance. The dance was able to raise a total of 495 dollars, which will go to help premature babies and their mothers. Members who attended were also able to network with FBLA members from other chapters, as members from the Bay, Northern and Central Sections were also in attendance. All who attended were able to grow themselves as leaders and professionals, and the skills the members gained will impact them for years to come.
